Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026. lumen uses a small number of cookies and similar local storage strictly to make the app work. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

What we use

  • Authentication — secure cookies set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. Without these, you cannot use your account.
  • Preferences — local storage that remembers your theme (dark or light) and language so the interface matches your last choice.

Analytics without cookies

We measure traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not set any cookie and does not fingerprint your device. Our in-app product analytics are pseudonymised (your identifier is replaced with a one-way hash before storage) and likewise do not rely on cookies or identify you personally. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

Why they are essential

All of the above are strictly necessary for the service you have signed in to. Because they are essential and not used for tracking or advertising, they do not require consent under typical cookie rules; we still tell you about them here for transparency.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time. Doing so will sign you out and reset your saved theme and language. Blocking essential cookies entirely will prevent you from signing in.

Changes

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
