Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: August 2026. This policy sets out how you may and may not use lumen. It supplements the Terms of Service. Breaking it may lead to your access being suspended or removed.

Respect other members

lumen is a consent-focused community tool. Treat companions and their boundaries with respect. Only invite people to sessions in good faith, and honour a decline gracefully — an invite that is declined or cancelled is never a reason to pressure someone.

Privacy of others

Do not attempt to view, guess, scrape, or infer another member's private notes, preference profile, or planning data. Do not share what a companion tells you or reveals to you through lumen without their agreement. Never publish or export another person's data.

Prohibited activity

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory conduct toward any member.
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting who you are.
• Uploading unlawful content or content that violates others' rights.
• Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the service, or bypassing row-level access controls.
• Automated bulk access except through the official AI-connection tokens you are issued, used within their intended scope.
• Using lumen to organise anything unlawful or that endangers others.

Content in free-text fields

Notes, aliases, and preference text are for your own planning. Keep them lawful and avoid storing others' personal data without a good reason and their awareness.

Reporting

If you see behaviour that breaks this policy, or believe your privacy has been compromised, contact the administrator. We will review reports and may act to protect the community, including removing access.
